If the format allows you to enjoy yourself, then your family will love reading it. Can't guarantee it will be those living right now, though. Only a couple of my eight children read my blog, but I have three grandchildren on missions: Chicago (Spanish-speaking), Jamaica, and Johannesburg, South Africa. And every week when I write them, I include a blog entry--and they all say they love it. Of course, I know they are desperate for any news from home, so it's probably not genuine interest, but still . . .

Plus, I've heard some of your adventures, and they are definitely worth listening to, so there's that!

Janice, I love your writing, your creativity, your insights, and everything else that makes your writing so fantastic. It was a real blessing in my life to have had the chance to know you for the years I did. Thank you again for all your inspiration, not only to me but also my children.
Btw, I feel the same way you do about dull, dry, boring, factual histories. For that reason I put mine off for a long time. I have since written quite a bit of mine, but I have followed Ray Bradbury‘s example when he wrote Dandelion Wine. I have simply been telling stories of my experiences and then arranging them in somewhat chronological order as my life history. That has been a lot more fun, and I don’t know if it’ll be entertaining to any readers, but it certainly was more entertaining for me.

Wow! You are a voice from the past--a past that made my life so rich. Thanks for reading. My grandson is downstairs trying to figure out what to do next. He was accepted to graduate school, but he's not sure that's the direction he wants to take at the moment. (He's fallen for a girl. Happens to the best of us! He's a bright guy, so he'll have to figure it out.) There are advantages to being old. I wouldn't want to have to do it all over. I'm happily writing my third novel and making baby quilt #3 for yet another great-grandchild this year! Woot! Woot!

What a lovely comment. Bless you. I loved all of my students; it was from each of you that I realized- no matter the chaos, the anger, the violence, and the upheaval around us - good people can be found everywhere. I thank Heaven for all of you every day. (Truth!)
PS What's your life look like today?

Long gone from Kearns, too.

Love to have found your blog and personal writing! As one of your rowdy students, I am deeply appreciative of every minute you gave me and all of your students. You are a teacher I will never forget. One can only pray that their kids get as an amazing teacher as you!

Wish we'd seen you, but congrats to Case! It's a very big deal to be a college grad. Means you are up to facing most of the problems of adulthood. At least that's what I thought when I graduated. Turns out life is a whole lot more complicated than I could have imagined!
